Connected

My interest in the abstraction of the body started as a way of taking away the connotations of a fat body and seeing it for its beauty, detached from fatphobic assumptions and impulses. When I started abstracting the body, I saw how beautiful the lines of the body are and in Connected I brought many bodies together to connect them.
By connecting the lines of the body I am not only creating visual similarities across bodies but also bringing together people and bodies that may have otherwise remained separate for eternity. The images used in this project are not mine and were sourced from the Visual Arts Library at Boston University.
